Salmon River Half Day and Full Day Rafting Trips

Wild FUN for all ages and abilities

Join us for ½ and 1 day raft trips on the Salmon River near Riggins Idaho.

Our ½ and 1 day raft trips are the ultimate introduction to Idaho whitewater with big fun rapids, great scenery and easy access. The Riggins section offers roadside class II-IV whitewater in a beautiful setting and is great for any adventure level because of the size of the Salmon River. Our guides have a variety of choices when deciding how to run the rapids. If you want mild, we can choose the conservative run and if you want wild we can hit the big waves and holes! We take rafters 6 years old and up and can often make arrangements for physically challenged participants as well. We have the best guides on the river and they can not wait to take you rafting.

If you want even more excitement, visit the Salmon River in late May and early June to experience BIGWATER rafting Salmon River style. Our early summer trips are not for everyone, these trips offer Grand Canyon sized whitewater on a day trip. See our Bigwater Rafting page for more information on these trips. Not sure bigwater rafting is for you? Join us later in June, July or August for hot days, warm water and lots of roller coaster rapids. Challenge the rapids in an inflatable kayak, be part of a team in a paddleboat or just hang on and enjoy the ride in one of our self-bailing oar boats. At the end of the day, check out photos of your runs through the rapids at Salmon River Photos' shop just down the street from our office.

Day Trips Salmon River Idaho

Our office is centrally located in Riggins within walking distance of all motels, RV parks and services. We have off-street parking and are located next to the Riggins City Park which has ample space for large vehicles and overflow parking. All of our raft trips feature Maravia self bailing boats, inflatable kayaks, great guides, snacks and beverages. Lunch is served on all full day trips. If the water temperature is still chilly or it happens to rain we have wetsuits and splash jackets available at no additional fee. We also feature the only combination raft and jet boat trip on the Salmon River which is perfect if you want to experience the excitement of a raft trip and the high speed thrill of a jet boat ride. Our 30 foot Coast Guard certified jet boat offers a much different perspective than the rafts as well as a nice alternative to the van or bus ride before and after your trip. Many of our guests who book the combination trip have a hard time deciding which part of the combination they like better!

HALF DAY

Our half day trips run the most exciting 11 miles on the Salmon River and include snacks and beverages while on the river. The half day trips are offered at 9:30 am and 1:30 pm Mountain Time. The jet boat combination is available on the 1:30 pm trip only. Choose the half day with lunch trip for the best whitewater and river side lunch; this trip is offered at 11:30 am Mountain Time.

FULL DAY

Our full day trips run 21 miles of serious fun and include lunch, snacks and beverages while on the river. If you have a group of 18 or more, we offer a catered lunch on our deck overlooking the river. The full day trips meet in our Riggins office at 9:30 am Mountain Time. For a really unique upgrade, add a jet boat ride to start and end the day. The jet boat departs and returns to our Riggins office and is what sets Exodus apart from the competition as we are the only one with this option. To ensure there is enough water to safely offer the jet boat portion of the combination trip book before the end of July.

Reservation Information

We reserve the right to alter put-in and take-outs depending on river conditions or river flows which change throughout the summer. The jetboat portion of the combo trip may not be available due to river flow or lack of participants, if that happens we will refund that portion of the cost of your trip. Participants on early summer highwater trips need to be in good shape and should be at least 16 years of age. Participants on all of our trips are required to sign a liability waiver.

(During early season trips it is best to avoid cotton garments as they are poor insulators when wet)

polar fleece or capilene dry much faster and
insulate better than cotton and other natural fabrics.

DIRECTIONS

If you are coming into Riggins from the south, you can find our office 2 blocks north of the Riggins City Park, overlooking the river on the right side of Hwy 95.

If you are coming into Riggins from the north, you can find our office 1 block south of the Riverview Motel, overlooking the river on the left side of Hwy 95.
