Big Water Adventure RaftingMid-May to Mid-June Salmon River IdahoFor even more adventure and excitement join us between mid-May and mid-June for Salmon River BIG WATER. Since the Salmon is not dam controlled, it is subject to a normal spring peak. That means high flows and high excitement. You will experience the Grand Canyon size whitewater of Ruby and Lake Creek Rapid. These rapids grow to unbelievable proportions during the river's peak. We also offer big water raft trips on the Main and Lower Salmon during May and June. These trips are not for the timid, we ask that you be in good physical condition and willing to actively participate throughout the trip. One of our high water participants compared his first run through Ruby and Lake Creek to skydiving for the first time...what a rush! During our high water season, we take extra safety precautions by running a safety raft or cataraft on each trip. We also require the use of a wetsuit, splashgear and helmet, which is included in the cost of the trip. Our guides have more big water experience than any other guides on the Salmon River! For safety reasons we may impose an age minimum on high water trips. We reserve the right to cancel early season trips at any time for any reason. Groups of 4 or less may be charged a safety boat fee of up to $20/person additional. For more information and updates on 2009 conditions give us a call, or keep in touch by e-mail.
